Join the 2024 Sarnia Saints Playing It Forward event and help support the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton.
The Sarnia Saints rugby team is proud to announce the upcoming Playing It Forward event on June 22nd, 2024. This year, the event will be held in support of the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton. As a team, we are passionate about giving back to our community and making a positive impact on those in need. We are excited to use our platform to raise awareness and funds for this important cause.
Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disorder that affects millions of people worldwide. In Canada alone, over half a million people are living with this disease and other forms of dementia. The Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton is dedicated to providing support, education, and resources to individuals and families affected by these conditions. They also fund research to find a cure and improve the quality of life for those living with dementia.
We at the Sarnia Saints believe that it is our responsibility to use our platform to support and bring attention to important causes such as Alzheimer’s. We have seen the impact of this disease on our own community and want to do our part in helping to find a cure. That is why we are dedicating our annual Playing It Forward event to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton.
The Playing It Forward event is a day filled with rugby, community, and giving back. Our team will be facing off against the London St. Georges rugby club in a highly anticipated match. We invite all members of the community to come out and support our team and this important cause. In addition to the rugby match, there will be food and drinks, a raffle, and other fun activities for the whole family.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to the Alzheimer’s Society of Sarnia-Lambton. We hope to not only raise funds but also to raise awareness about the impact of Alzheimer’s and the importance of supporting those affected by it. We also encourage attendees to learn more about the resources and services provided by the Alzheimer’s Society and how they can get involved in the fight against this disease.
